I wonder which strategy do professional inkers prefer mostly?
- "pop out" - thick lines outside, thinner inside of the character to make it pop out but still can add ton of details
- "shading" - thick lines where the shadows are, thin where lights are to make it more plastic
- "aerial" - thicker lines for details closer to viewer, thiner lines to the back of the scene in strategy of atmospheric perspective
Of course it's probably adjusted along the scene (hard light from the side means more "shadding" strategy, etc.) but with neutral scene I still can't decide which is the best.
What is your opinion?
